How long does the flight take?

The hot air balloon flight lasts 45 to 60 minutes, and sometimes longer, depending on wind conditions and suitable landing sites. As hot air balloons travel with the wind and have no steering mechanism, every flight is a unique experience.

Where do flights take place?

Flights operate over the Margham Desert, Dubai, near Al Ain Road and the Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve, offering breathtaking sunrise views of Dubai’s pristine desert landscape.

Why do you fly so early in the morning?

Early morning provides the safest flying conditions. As the sun heats the ground during the day, thermal air currents form, which can be unsafe for balloon flights. For safety and security reasons, all flights are conducted at sunrise.

Where will we land?

The exact landing location cannot be confirmed before takeoff. While the pilot plans a general landing area prior to the flight, wind conditions may change. After approximately 40 minutes of flight, the pilot selects the safest and most suitable landing site.

What is the landing like?

The flight is smooth and comfortable while airborne. The landing experience depends on wind conditions, and the pilot will brief all passengers beforehand. During landing, guests will be instructed to assume a safe seated landing position inside the basket. The basket is specially designed for safety and comfort, making the landing a controlled and exciting part of the journey.

What should I wear?

As flights take place early in the morning, we recommend wearing comfortable, sporty clothing. During cooler months, warm layers are advised. Closed-toe shoes are recommended for safety and comfort.

May I bring a camera?

Yes! Guests are welcome to bring their own cameras or mobile phones to capture the incredible desert views.
We also offer a 360° camera rental, providing unlimited photos and videos throughout your flight, allowing you to relive every moment from all angles.

How many passengers are in one basket?

Basket capacity ranges from 19 to 28 passengers, depending on the balloon size. Each basket is divided into multiple sections to ensure comfort, stability, and space throughout the flight.

Can anyone fly?

Anyone who is physically and mentally fit may participate. Passengers must be able to:

Stand unassisted for approximately one hour
Assume the seated landing position
Guests who have undergone recent surgery must obtain medical clearance. Pregnant women are not permitted to fly for safety reasons.

Are there any age or weight restrictions?

Children must be at least 7 years old
Children under 16 years old must fly with a parent or guardian
Passengers weighing 120 kg or above are required to inform our operations team in advance

What happens if flights are canceled due to weather conditions?

For safety reasons, flights may be canceled due to adverse weather conditions either one day before or on the day of the flight. Guests with available time may reschedule for the next available flying day, subject to weather and availability.
